An in-depth multidisciplinary look at the richness of aquatic life (marine and freshwater) starting with the biodiversity of yesterday, recorded by the great variety of fossil tropical fish found in the pre-alps of Lombardy.

A tour of the fascinating tanks of Milan’s Civic Aquarium, with panels prepared by students of Natural Science at Milan University, enables visitors to discover characteristics and curiosities of the many specimens of live fish among marine bioconstructions and the enormous wealth that accompanies biodiversity.

The exhibition is completed by a section dedicated to the conservation of this great wealth: films and interactive exhibits offer a new perspective on sustainable fisheries, overexploitation of fish stocks and responsible use of marine and freshwater resources.

In the fascinating sea of biodiversity nourishment can be found while respecting nature and avoiding the destruction of aquatic ecosystems.

More details are available on the exhibition website “A Sea of Diversity” (Italian text).
