Three days of events dedicated to the language of cooking and food, instruments and means for spreading the image of Italy and testifying to the encounter between different languages and cultures.

The programme, organized in collaboration with the Accademia della Crusca, offers a full calendar of activities from 30th September to 2nd October. There will be round tables, multimedia installations, laboratories, exhibitions, a reading marathon of works by Dante Alighieri, and a theatrical performance in collaboration with the Dante 750 project.

The main themes for all the events are those of cooking and food; the Italian gastronomic terms present in languages worldwide; food as a means for cultural integration and bringing people together; and cooking as an identity and memory store.

There will be moments dedicated to icons of the Italian gastronomic tradition, such as Pellegrino Artusi, and to exploring the language of recipes, from the Middle Ages to the Web.
