Academic contact: Luciana Rossi

A conference with poster space and a guided tour of the Experimental Didactic Animal Husbandry Centre and the stands of local food producers.

This rich one-day programme at the Veterinary Pole of Lodi will explain the results of scientific research conducted at the University of Milan in the field of animal feedstocks and their repercussions on human food.

A guarantee of products meeting our food and nutritional requirements starts with protection and correct valorisation of our animal heritage.

In the morning conference, we present the results of innovative university projects on nutrition of animals that produce food for humans, while eminent paediatricians and nutritionists explain the role of products of animal origin in the diet of children and adults.

There will be poster space accessible to the public for the presentation of other scientific work, the abstracts of which will be published in a special issue of the International Journal of Health, Animal Science and Food Safety. Local producers will also be present with stands.

The day ends with a guided tour of the Experimental Didactic Animal Husbandry Centre of Lodi, a perfect demonstration of collaboration between university research and the local area.
